Great weekend although the weather wasn't particularly kind as we all know! The Saturday was the better of the two days with a little sun which meant we could run our own cycling challenge for a cash prize!!
Competitors were challenged to take to an exercise bike and see how quickly they could cycle One mile!!...bearing in mind the challenge for the boys in August is 660km or 400 miles! We'd like to say a special 'Thank You' to the Stour Centre , Ashford to who kindly gave us the use of the exercise bikes over the weekend.
Along side we were also there raising vital brain tumour awareness with our literature , selling our Army wristbands and running a raffle with some great prizes that were all so generously donated by various local companies. There was a huge amount of interest in our cause which is what it's all about for us, getting brain tumour aware and just spreading that message out there.
In total we collected an amazing £812.21 and can't thank people enough for coming down to find us, particularly on the very damp Sunday afternoon! This amount can now be seen on the 'Lazy Boys European Bike Ride' Justgiving page at http://www.justgiving.com/LazyBoys-EuropeanBikeRide which is currently standing at just over £2000.
Fantastic work! Just need to keep it coming up to this once in a lifetime challenge in August...one to never be forgotten!
